Dans L’Astrée L’attention du lecteur est constamment dirigée vers les aventures et les conversations d’un collectif de personnages. Celui-ci ne forme-t-il pas le principal centre d’intérêt du roman d’Urfé, roman contemporain d’une florissante civilisation de Cour ? Si tel est le cas, il est intéressant de voir comment se présente et fonctionne sa « trouppe » pastorale à la lumière d’une analyse capable d’articuler étude littéraire et psycho-sociologie.

In the novel L’Astrée the reader’s interest is focused on the adventures and conversations of a group of characters. This is probably the main area of interest in d’Urfé’s novel, a work which was contemporary with a flourishing court society. If this is the case, it is interesting to see how its pastoral « trouppe » is organized and to contemplate its functions in the light of an analysis which connects literary studies and group psychosociology.
